Nucar Cares Supports the 44th Annual Denis L. Maher Memorial Golf Tournament

Through Nucar Cares, Nucar Chevrolet of Woburn is proud to sponsor the 44th Annual Denis L. Maher Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.

The tournament takes place Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Kernwood Country Club in Salem, Massachusetts. It brings golfers, businesses, community partners, and supporters together for a day that has a purpose well beyond the course: helping the Boys & Girls Club continue serving young people throughout Woburn.

Supporting Great Futures for Woburn Youth

The James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn has a straightforward mission: inspire youth to find their greatness.

That work happens every day through safe, supportive spaces and programs where kids and teens can learn, build relationships, take on new challenges, and simply have a place to belong. The Club reaches more than 1,230 kids and teens across six locations in Woburn, offering opportunities that include academic enrichment, art and STEM activities, sports, recreation, leadership development, and other out-of-school programming.

Fundraising plays an important role in making those opportunities accessible to local families. Proceeds from the Denis L. Maher Memorial Golf Tournament directly support the Club’s out-of-school time programs and the young people who participate in them.

For us, that makes this sponsorship especially meaningful. The impact stays close to home, supporting children, teens, and families right here in the Woburn community.

A Woburn Tradition Now in Its 44th Year

Reaching a 44th annual tournament speaks to the community behind it. Year after year, the Denis L. Maher Golf Tournament brings people together around a shared commitment to Woburn youth.

The 2026 tournament begins with lunch before golfers head onto the course at Kernwood Country Club. The day concludes with an awards reception and dinner, giving participants another opportunity to come together and recognize the impact their support can have.

The Club is also offering its Helicopter Golf Ball Drop as part of this year’s fundraising efforts, along with a variety of opportunities for businesses, organizations, families, and individual supporters to participate in the tournament.
